Algarve Historics Portugal. October 20th thru the 23rd
27/11/2011
Great weather, great cars and a fantastic track surmise the 2011 Algarve Historics. The Lola performed well placing seventh over all and third in class, again with 100 percent reliability. The car has finished every practice, qualifying and race it has been entered for in 2011, not bad for a fresh restoration! The only problem in Portugal was an engine miss fire low in the rev range effecting drive out of some of the slower corners, Ridgeway Engines will sort it for next year. It was really enjoyable running on a FIA sanctioned track, the first circuit of the year I felt that we could make a mistake and 'get away with it' due to the extensive run off areas.
Thanks to Alan Strachan and Chris of AWS Engineering for all their help and input.
Friends and family also made the trip down and we all took the opportunity to stay on for a few days holiday, why not?
Lola T360 Brands Hatch Super Prix debut.
19/07/2011
We are pleased to announce that the Brands Hatch Super Prix went off without a hitch for both the Lola and it’s driver. The car proved to be properly sorted and handled predictably right out of the box. Most importantly it was great fun to drive. A few small developments to the car will be performed before the next outing at Croft at the beginning of August. Thank you to Eric Hoult, Ridgeway Engines, Bernard Saunders and AWS for all of their help and care in restoring this very pretty racing car back to health.
Vernasca 2011
13/07/2011
Legends has just returned from a 10 day drive down to Italy to participate in the low key but fabulous Silver Flag Hill Climb at Vernasca.
We took our New Proteus C Type and drove down with dear friends Scott and Suzanne in a similar car they had bought from us several years ago.
On the way down we stopped off in Turin to visit friends and the newly re opened Nation Motor Museum,, beautifully laid out as only the Italians know how and well worth a visit.
On to Portofino for some recuperation from the long drive and then over the Apennine Way to Vernasca.
The event is very special, lots of lovely cars, good food and great company, not to mention three runs up an 8 kilometer hillclimb – fabulous time was enjoyed by all
On the drive home we went over the Sousa Pass on the way to first night stop at Annecy - great driving road, stunning scenery and a lovely overnight stay by the lake
Roll on next year !!

7eme Grand Prix de Monaco Historique 2010
28/05/2010
We went down for the four days, and even though all did not go to plan we enjoyed a fantastic weekend. The main excuse we used for the trip was to watch and support Paul Smith in his ex Elio de Angelis Chevron B38. Having never driven at Monaco, and Paul used to running at the sharp end of the grid, over committed at Tabac on the second lap and backed the car into the Armco. This, of course, unfolded right in front of the boat we were viewing from! Shame, but we are happy to say that both car and driver are ready to bounce back.
Thank you to all at Hurst Park for their warm hospitality.
Good to see everyone at Race Retro 2010
17/03/2010
It had been four years since we held a stand at Race Retro, so we thought it was time. One of the great things about this show is the fact that it attracts friends and customers from all over Europe, it was really good to catch up with everyone after what has seemed like an endless winter! Thanks to all who stopped by to say hello.

Legends Stanguellini Museum Tour
17/12/2006
The Legends sales team visited one of the most coveted motoring towns in the world last month , with visits to many important collections , workshops in Modena , Italy.
The trip was very interesting and while there , also took time to meet and view the stanguellini collection in modena.
The huge bonus of this was a personal tour by Mr Stanguellini who advised of the techniques, designs and period storys from the family cars and famous events which they competed.
It was truly memorable to see the collection and meet the legend to which his name proceeds him.
The trip was typical if the famous Modena fog and the visits to the iconic names of Ferarri , Maserati, Lamborghini and Stanguellini are a must for the true enthusiasts among us.
