Legends are proud to offer the first 'Works' Lotus Cortina 166 RUR for sale.

The car first competed in the 1963 Oulton Park Gold Cup event driven by Trevor Taylor and the following month by Jim Clark at Snetterton. In 1964 the car was shipped to the USA and was raced throughout the country under the English Ford Line and driven by the likes of Dan Gurney and Sir John Whitmore.

The car stands today in excellent condition with a fresh Connaught Competition engine and is ready to compete or simply use on the road. Complete with FIA HTP papers as well as a nice parts pack that converts the car from road to race.

Documented with many period photographs, 166 RUR is a wonderful piece of motoring history that importantly has retained much of its originality.
